Why Scribbles
Over the years, I’ve tested almost every major website builder — Wix, Squarespace, Jimdo, WordPress.com.
It really comes down to what you need:
“a shop, a blog, a newsletter, a portfolio.”
There is nothing wrong with any of these platforms. They work well. I still have one WordPress.com site. It’s feature-rich, powerful, and capable of doing almost anything. But that’s also the problem — it can become complicated and distracting when all you want to do is microblog. You can spend hours building and tweaking your site instead of actually writing.
